Walt Cude is an East Texas native, born in Palestine in 1933 and now lives in Fort Worth, Texas. His paintings bear the beauty, the mood and the detail that few wildlife artists achieve. He is appreciated by the amateur for the beauty of his paintings, but more especially by the veteran naturalist for his meticulous treatment of feathers, fur and scales, as well as the foliage surrounding his subjects. His settings are authentic. His colors are unquestioned. His compositions are always interesting and sometimes surprising.
